Let The Gifting Begin (if you're into such things)
On your mark...
Get set...
Go!.....
If your agency is a "gifter" for the holidays you now have clearance to gift until your heart is content. We're inside the window of time where your gift would be tied to the holidays, and also where people are most likely burnt out from sales messages (so you won't waste your time delivering any). If you are gifting this season, here are a few tips to remember.

Make sure you are Stark Compliant! Don't overdo it with any referral source for any reason.
Make sure you deliver it in person. Even if that's just a front door wave through the glass, don't leave a gift without some connection to someone in the office.
Food makes the worst gifts. Why? It's gone quickly, most of it will make people feel sluggish, and once someone tears into it they probably won't remember who delivered it.
Make it a sincere "Thank You" for partnering with your agency during this difficult year, or a sincere "Looking Forward To Helping Your Patients In The New Year". Don't pander and don't be smarmy.
Set up a next step. Make sure you know who's working during the holidays. Make sure they know your schedule. Make sure that when a discharge or referral is happening that they know exactly what your capabilities are and who to talk to. Don't leave anything to chance.
If you are a true sales social butterfly this is probably your favorite time of the year (even with COVID going on) so go out and enjoy yourself this week and next and make someone's holiday a tiny bit brighter!
Good Selling!
