Become an "Influencer" To Grow Referrals

Michael Giudicissi

Influencers....they're all the rage. From social media to YouTube, influencers gather hundreds of thousands, or even millions of followers and "influence" their buying, spending, TV, music, or movie choices.

While you don't need millions of followers to become an influencer in the home care industry, you can use your "influence" to build better relationships and garner more referrals. Here's how:

  1. Build a bigger network of ancillary providers that you feel confident recommending to your referral sources. Become important and necessary to those that you seek referrals from.

  2. Use social media as a "meeting point" for your network contacts. Post informative, engaging, or fun content that let's people "meet" each other with you as the point person. Polls are a great way to engage your contacts.

  3. Utilize LinkedIN to introduce yourself and connect professionals in your network.

  4. Have an opinion. Ultimately if you're going to be an influencer you're going to have to influence people to do something. Take a point of view. Take up a cause. Write an article. Help people understand where you stand and what you stand for.

Influencers aren't just about makeup, fashion, or TV. YOU can be one too...and you should. In our new Covid induced world of digital marketing, being a professional influencer is more important than ever!

Good Selling!
